FINAL PROJECT - MERCHANDISING

For the final project, we were tasked to design 4 merchandises for our product which we designed for in the previous project. After a series of discussion and feedbacks from Mr Shamsul, Gordon and I chose to design the following 4 items:

1. Bundle Box
2. Mineral Water Bottle
3. T-shirt
4. Towel

We also designed a merchandise box which will store all of our merchandises together. These 4 items were chosen as they are essential products which would benefit our target audience, Malaysian flood victims. These products could come alongside with the food packaging for the flood victims.

Bundle Box
For the bundle box, our design intention was to not just package several food packages in one but also meant for easy transportation. We chose a gable box as the addition of handle allows the packaging to be easily carried by everyone.

Mineral Water Bottle

For the mineral water bottle, we went with a 350ml bottle size as it is not too big and much lighter so more bottles can be carried at once. There were 2 final designs which we liked so we decided to keep two different designs instead of one.

T-shirt
For the T-shirt design, we decided to have a large illustration on the back which features our mascot. This would avoid the T-shirt from looking too plain and creates a much brighter brand image as well. Same as the water bottle, there were two colours for the shirt which we liked so we decided to maintain two colours.

Towel

For the towel design, we decided to keep it simple and use only the outline of the towel to colour with our brand identity. We kept the towel white while only having the wordmark logo in the center as design.

Merchandise Box

For the merchandise box we decided to go with a pinch lock box design. This box design is suitable to keep the products intact without the use of additional materials.

FEEDBACK

Week 10:

Mr Shamsul commented that our choices of merchandise is fine but maybe remove fork and spoon as it it not really considered a merchandise, it is more like a necessary item that should be included. Other than that, Mr Shamsul commented that 4 merchandise should be enough we don't need to include 5.

Week 11:
Mr Shamsul commented that the 4 choices of merchandise is fine but we need to make sure that the bundle box should have a handle so it is easier to be transported.

Week 12:
Mr Shamsul commented that the towel mockup would be better if we can find one that is wrapped so that our brand logo can be placed on the wrapper.
