For this week, Dr Hayati showed us a video on quantitative and qualitative research methods for our research implementations.

RESEARCH IMPLEMENTATION

The task for this week is to start thinking about the research designs to collect the necessary data. For my research topic, Miss Jinchi said it would be best for me conduct a focus group study and survey to research on the topic. A focus group study could consist of a designer, a medical officer, 2 students and 1 student with basic medical knowledge. I could also conduct a survey based on students in Taylor's University about my research topic. Ms Jinchi also said I should not focus too much on AED for my questions because the device is too technically trained.

These are the questions I prepared beforehand :



After getting approved, I set up a google form for my survey questions and emailed the professionals for a focus group interview.

After getting the data, I compiled it and analysed the data.

Ms Jinchi stated that I only explained what I would like to achieve in doing a survey. I need to explain how a survey helps in that regard. Although all the survey and interview questions have justification, they lack support from research.Besides that I also wrote quantitative for interview and qualitative for survey which was an error. The same withsurvey, I only explained your aim in conducting interviews but did not explain how the interviews can help achieve my aim. I need to justify the criteria of the interview candidates in relation to my research objective. Besides that I also need to provide the full name for my interview candidates.I also need to explain how I organised the interview answers in the visual categories, supported by research.
